Looks like it was debunked in 2014. Very recent knowledge as far as basic functions go. Might still be true that it's sterile (i.e., no active microbes) while in the kidneys and bladder, and picks up bacteria in the urinary tract - which for all practical purposes simply means it's not sterile.

There's no flue this year because the smoke particles inflame the covid, or something like that.

Most companies frown on doing a phone interview in the middle of a shift. As for PTO, that's fine until it runs out because you needed more than two interviews to actually get a job.

I recognize that I'm talking about a specific subset of people here. But the point is, "just sell your labor somewhere else" just isn't an option for some people.

Sure, but it's hard to schedule an interview when you're working full hours at a shithole.

because the average worker wasn’t convinced a union would improve their situation.

It didn't help that Amazon was straight lying to them and telling them that a union could force them to pay dues. Which they can't. Just more fuel to the fire.

That only works for those who have the flexibility to go unemployed for a couple weeks at minimum.

COMMENT 11h ago

If the end result is improved conditions for workers, it actually doesn't matter what they're in it for. You can have mutually beneficial relationships based purely on self interest. That's capitalism in a nutshell.

Unions are greedy, sure, but they make more money when employees are better taken care of. Their interests are much more aligned with employees than those of the employer.

What, you want to get paid to eat lunch in my disgusting cafeteria with no other food options in a radius small enough to actually get the food and eat it and return to work by the time I ring a bell?

IMO lunch breaks should be paid if it is not reasonable for the employee to leave the facility on that time.

It's sped up, if you watch at .75x speed he moves more naturally, and he talks at the end and sounds close to normal.

He says (paraphrased) "I need to slow it down. I can't keep up with it."

No, he pulled it out of his ass. Had a medical expert received and reviewed the blood work, subsequently found reasonably low carbon monoxide levels, and still claimed a possible carbon monoxide poisoning that would be falsification.

Ohhh, for some reason I thought you meant 756 7th anni scrolls. That makes way more sense.

I have this with Amandas. Dated two, friends with another, my brother dated two and ended up marrying one, sister had a few Amanda friends...

Remember once that I was talking to a cute girl at school, May 4th in like 2012 or 2013(I remember it was star wars day because we were talking about the goings-on at the student union), really hit it off. Asked for her name, she says "Amanda," and me the retard goes "Of course it is. Well, nice to talk with you, but I've gotta get to class." I don't remember the exact words I used ("Of course it is" I do remember very clearly), but it was along those lines.

And before anyone asks, no, none of them had the last name "Huggenkiss"

Protests started on May 26th, fires started on May 27th. The third precinct burns on May 28th. 700 nat guards deployed on May 29, another 1,000 on May 30th. the first curfews were also issued May 30th. The majority of the fires damaging downtown Minneapolis weren't until after those curfews were issued.

Some guy named George Airy did a whole bunch of data mining that helps to explain why the physics engine has this limitation.

If you find the option, let me know. My subvirtual immersion device is located in front of a window that faces east and I fear that my HUD is going to take permanent debuffs because of it. I added some double-cell dispersion filters to my player housing's inventory and they seem to do okay at mimicking a global light setting within the ray tracing environment. Bonus points, they improve the upkeep cost on my environmental regulators.

You implied the NG wasn't here. They were. The damage from the riots is irrelevant to your original statement.

6

COMMENT 15h ago

And here we see that the conflation of "riot" with "protest" has taken hold.

4

COMMENT 15h ago

Did I dream the part where the national guard was walking down our streets shooting rubber bullets at law-abiding citizens? Because I'm pretty sure I didn't.

4

COMMENT 15h ago

Protesting is explicitly not a legal issue. But Republican voters seem to think "free speech" means you can say anything you want in a restaurant and not get kicked out.

5

COMMENT 16h ago

Oof, that definitely puts a damper on retail trades. And the moment they realize that and try to put a protection in for small-scale investors, the whole thing goes out the window.
