“Cheating sometimes happens”
You’re not vegan, you’re a vegetarian with vegan preferences. Your girlfriend is vegetarian and to avoid conflict you’re justifying eating dairy products and eggs, and then questioning if your own veganism is worth it.
This is a direct correlation between the relationship you have with your girlfriend and your commitment to veganism. It’s not a matter of personal motivation, it’s a matter of your gf not being able to support you and so you’re giving up your beliefs to accommodate her instead of finding out solutions.
My biggest pet peeve is when a book turns into a movie or show and then all I can find is the cover with actors from the show. I prefer original artwork and no unremovable circles that say “now a movie on hbo!”
“It’s made from animal parts” again veganism 101 there’s no wiggle room on this one. That’s like saying “hey guys I’m vegan but is eating fish really that bad?”
Gelatin is not vegan. I highly doubt someone who has been vegan for five years suddenly is trying to justify eating gelatin. That’s like veganism 101
Seems like you may be lacking some nutrient from your plant based diet. Not saying this is you, but many go vegan and get stuck on a few same “safe” staples and just eat those without branching out and ensuring they’re getting all their nutrients their body needs. Were you taking a multi vitamin / b12?
would not be particularly understanding.
would not be particularly understanding.
Again, vague short answers that leave more questions.
As such, the only advice you can really get here is: stand up to her, or prepare to go against your values.
Yeah no, you can’t just say something like this and expect us not to ask why. Please stop drip dripping us information and give us the whole story if you want us to help. Are you being abused? What are the consequences if you refuse? Why are the children being forced to cook, what is the stepmother or father doing? Or was it a punishment because of something you all did?
Sorry OP want to help, but seeing your replies all of them are like people who post on social media that they’re sad and just slowly drip out information bit by bit as people try to help.
Help us help you. Again, sorry to be so blunt in my response but you came here for advice so let us know what we need to give the proper response: help us help you.
As an educator, a student giving me that response along with other vague non-answers would mandate me to call report it as possible child abuse.
I mean, you cared enough to make a false statement. But hey I guess Jimmy inspired a new cop out answer so go for it.
Agreed, but I would also add that this poor viral marketing at best. Not because of the content, but because of potential for lawsuits due to false advertising. All it takes is one person with money signs to go over and order this and then immediately sue saying they were falsely advertised to have been vegan.
But apparently that never happened, so I guess it did work out in there favor as you described.
Most pizza are vegetarian, as many dough are made with dairy products, and of course cheese is only vegetarian, not vegan.
Feta cheese does exist in vegan form already! I forget what’s it’s made from off the top of my head because I’m never was a fan anyway even before I became vegan, but I see it at my local grocery store all the time.
Feta cheese specifically is usually made with rennet, which is the stomach lining of a cow. Other cheeses are made differently.
Yeah after not eating dairy for so long, vegans stop being able to process dairy products.... so eating this would cause severe cramps and pain.
That being said, most vegans can spot feta cheese a mile away, so we’d quickly send this back anyway.
Feta cheese isn’t even vegetarian though, they use the stomach lining of a cow to make the cheese.
Actually, this cheese is made with the stomach lining of a cow. So it’s neither vegan or vegetarian, and yes the cow dies.
Call them and ask if they serve tofu. Spoiler: they don’t, and their own menu says it’s feta cheese.
We don’t melt, but it’s extremely painful for us to eat anything with meat and especially dairy. Morality debates aside, it’s an actual very bad pain that lasts quite a bit.
It’s literally feta cheese. They don’t serve tofu there and never have, and on their menu it says it’s served with feta cheese.
It’s not the same though? That’s a false equivalency. Vegan burgers aren’t saying “yes this is made of meat.... jk it’s not we don’t care”.
Tweet is from august 2018.... and it’s real and still up (minus the guy who pointed out it wasn’t vegan. He got bullied off). Yuck, apparently they get off on making fun of vegans. They really did reply, and then put “and if you decide you want some protein, add some of our sirloin steak” with a picture to boot.
I mean, if you want to just serve your seafood that’s one thing, and even though I don’t agree with it I just won’t go there, but to actively encourage and support hatred towards vegans is pretty vile. Their comment section on that post was toxic AF.

Just got this on my instagram account. Any idea why? It’s a “business” account for my author page but has been that way for years. No recent changes
