Well I’ve managed to clear pretty much all of my debt in the last year thanks to Covid cutting my costs, so my job was finally bringing in money that wasn’t just flying straight out. It’s worth adding that I got the switch a while ago now and the wife insisted the old PS4 gets sold to help. Social media always paints a much healthier picture, I’m not particularly well off I just have gaming as my biggest passion and this is the first time I’ve ever been able to do it, so had to grab it.

Sorry I made you feel a bit down though my friend, I never meant for my joy to inflict sadness.

No no, you did nothing wrong. I'm fine, it was just...you know, more about my country then anything else hahaa :)

Thanks for the answer, and enjoy your console collection ! All the best !

Hey man, I appreciate you saying something. The US really glorifies consumption and buying of products. While OP is free to do whatever he wishes with his money, I can see how this feels kinda shocking to see when so many other people are struggling for basic needs.

It’s helpful to get some perspective. Thanks for offering us that.

Thats why you posted it though? You were here to brag? Ill be downvoted but...

I don’t know if I’d say bragging as that kind of suggests I’m glad others haven’t, I’m just really happy and yeah I wanted to show off but we’re all gamers here right. I love seeing when others get the consoles they’ve been desperate for! The struggle has been real for all of us.

Okay thats wonderful but its very likely 2022 until I get either the PS5 or Xbox and these constant "LOOK AT ME" posts are not helping to the point Ive now decided to just unfollow this subreddit

I mean, it definitely sucks but part of being an adult is accepting the things you don't/can't have.

yes but its very unfair that the reason I cant have it, is because some loser has set up a bot program to buy up the stock the minute it hits online stores. Here in the UK argos, game etc stock was depleted in seconds and then they were bragging on twitter about scoring thousands of PS5s

I really don’t get that attitude at all, I’m always really pleased when I see people sharing joyous things online instead of hate and vitriol.

Theres nothing for me to be "joyous" about. My chances were snatched away by scalping scum.

Don’t be jealous, that’s female trait.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '21

Eesh, that was very sexist. Its 2021, you cant say things like that anymore.

Just did.
